PinWiki was created as a central resource for textual information on pinball machines themselves, the people that created them, and for sharing knowledge between players, collectors and hobbyists. Its aim is not to duplicate the excellent IPDB or Clay's guides on pinball repair, but to fill the gap of online biographical information on pinball and its community.

PinWiki was established by Adam Preble on December 21, 2006.
